In the construction of a new organ, the organ maker personalises his work and gives it an unique and particular character. Each instrument is a new discovery.

The process of restoration, however, is completely different.Here the organ maker disregards his personal taste to restore or reconstruct the missing or defective elements with the best possible knowledge and with the highest respect for the original building style.
